PSALMS 49-4
 I will incline mine ear to a parable:  I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
PSALMS 78-2 
  I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter
    dark sayings of old:
 
PROVERBS 1:5 and 6 
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
 

Psalms 25:14

 The secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

 

Daniel 2:21-22
 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:  He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what [is] in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

Matthew 13:34-35
All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Daniel 8:23-24
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

Numbers 12:5-8
 And the LORD came down . . . and called Aaron and Miriam: . . .and he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, [I] the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, [and] will speak unto him in a dream. My servant Moses [is] not so, . . . With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold:
